Now is approaching the time for our regular rank testing. As it was announced earlier it will have 2 parts:

1. For Green Belts and aspiring green belts, it will be a separate portion on Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 7.35 pm till 8.35 pm (at Earl Bales CC, room #2), please bring your weapons as need it.
2. For ALL RANKS (including green belts and aspiring green belts) on Friday, December 19th, 2025, starting from 5.30 pm at Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre (Arena) and it will be for approximately 2 hours. Please do not forget your uniform and sparring gear.

The testing procedure (not promotions or fees) is mandatory for everyone.

If you are first time tested and will be promoted, you will have to pay a bit more, as it will include a set of 4 patches for your uniform (only first time).

That will also include the testing fee itself (only taken if your child is promoted), cost of new belt (if color of the belt is changing), as well a certificate from our club and only on demand one from our main style organization if you need additional proof of your child level, and starting from this year is mandatory from Black Belt only.

Now the costs for anyone, with or without promotion:

$20 only the first time – set of 4 patches for uniform which shows that you are a member of our school.

What is mandatory if you were promoted:

$25 – testing fee, including our club certificate

$10 – new color belt (if it changes as a result of promotion), if you have a belt of needed color, you can use your belt, you must inform your instructor in advance.

$20 – certificate from our main style organization to officially prove your child level – it is on demand only. From this year is mandatory for black belts only (not mandatory for white, yellow, green and brown belts).

For example, if you are first time tested and promoted to white belt with yellow stripe (or yellow belt) total cost will be only this first-time 20+25+10=$55. I repeat again that this is only the first time, the next promotion, for example for a yellow belt will cost only 25+10=$35, and the one after that for a yellow belt with one stripe will be $25 etc.

That is an open event, you can bring your friends and relatives to encourage your kid’s performance.
