IMPORTANT: Our Programs will resume on Monday, October 5th, 2020

It is great pleasure to announce that both our programs will resume on Monday October 5th, 2020. It will be in accordance with previously announced tentative schedule. Also Monday and Wednesday Karate training will be held in parallel online on Zoom.

Our comeback to training will be based on 2 documents attached here Ontario Karate Federation one and Karate Canada one.

We will inform at later date what exactly will have to do our members. For now just make yourself familiar with documents

For our members and aspiring members: Latest news on our programs on September 5, 2020

York Centre Karate is working closely with Toronto Parks to reopen our programs in our usual locations. At the moment they assured us that facilities will reopen, it is just unclear when that will happen. Most likely after schools will reopen. Update (Sept 5, 2020): tentative opening on Monday October 5th, 2020

We will have after reopening same Karate programs (with a bit less class times to adjust for COVID-19 requirements): 1. 4 to 6 years old – 40 minutes 3 times per week; 2. 7 to 12 years old – 1 hour 3 times per week; 3. 13 and up 80 minutes 3 times per week. We are working to keep same schedule Monday, Wednesday and Friday at Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre (Arena). Tentative schedule: 1. 4 to 6 years old 5.40 pm – 6.20 pm; 2. 7 to 12 years old 6.35 pm – 7.35 pm; 3. 13 and up 7.50 pm – 9.10 pm. Also for members convenience some Karate classes will be available same time virtually on Zoom (if you will not be able to come that day). High performance Karate program will be at Earl Bales CC on Thursday (1 hour training). Fitness will work on the same days as before Tuesday and Thursday in 2 groups with 20 minutes intervals between groups.
