Our team of 5 athletes, 1 coach and 2 judges participated last Sunday April 23 at Shiva Fighters International Karate Cup-1 at Brampton Soccer Centre. We had  great results and obtained 18 medals in total:

1. Roni Winshtein – Gold in Kumite (sparring) in 12-13 years old boys Intermediate
2. Mohan Sanka – Silver in Kumite 10-11 years old boys Intermediate, Bronze – Nunchaku and Bronze in Team Kata (forms) Intermediate 10 – 13 years old
3. Isabela Hernandez – Silver – Kumite 12-13 years old girls Novice, Bronze – Kata 12-13  years old girls Novice, Silver – Kata 14-15 years old girls Novice, Bronze – Kumite 14-15 years old girls Novice
4. Noel Gavrilov – Gold – Nunchaku, Silver – Kata 12-13 years old boys Intermediate, Bronze – Kumite 12-13 years old boys Intermediate and Bronze in Team Kata Intermediate 10-13 years old
5. Max Atanelli – Gold – Kumite 10-11 years old boys Intermediate, Gold – Kata 12-13 years old boys Intermediate, Silver – Kata 10-11 years old boys Intermediate, Silver – Nunchaku, Bronze – Kumite 12-13 years old boys Intermediate and Bronze in Team Kata Intermediate 10-13 years old

Our participation at first Ontario Karate Federation Invitational Karate Cup. We were represented by one athlete, one coach and one judge. We are very excited to announce our next big event, which is Sensei Larry Lyman Toronto Seminar. Seminar will take place on May 21, 2017. More details coming soon.

Sensei Larry is President of Shorinryu Matsumura Seito Suiken Bugeikai (USA) – one of the finest organization of Shorinryu Matsumura Seito in the world. With this seminar Canadian Karate practitioners will have access to old Okinawan Karate and Kobudo (Weapons).
